Harassment awareness sessions

After years of omerta, the conservative channel was hit by the scandal in 2017. The complaints concerned Roger Ailes, the former boss and co-founder of the channel and Bill O'Reilly, one of the ex-presenters.

The case has given rise to several adaptations: a series,

The Loudest Voice

with Russel Crowe and a film

Scandal

, with Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman and Margot Robbie.

In addition to the fine, Fox News is now prohibited from including in new employment contracts a confidentiality clause for employees who wish to file a complaint for violation of their rights.

The channel will have to set up awareness sessions on sexual harassment.
