"You can't contradict his emotion"

The first time the actress climbed the famous steps of the Palais de Festivals, she was still working at the

Grand Journal

.

"We had a planned climb for the team. I think it was a bit to promote the show," she says.

"We knew we were going to go up the stairs, but that we weren't going to attend the screening of the film. We were going to leave through a sort of back door because we had a work dinner afterwards. I thought it was like that. still a little ridiculous, very artificial. "

In the car that brings the team to the bottom of the stairs, Doria Tillier groans.

But not long.

“When we got to that red carpet, there was this music and the magic happened,” she smiles.

"Sometimes things are artificial, but they still work. You can't contradict his emotion."

"I could have just taken a few seconds"

It is with this Cannes emotion in mind that Doria Tillier very quickly accepted to become mistress of ceremonies at the Cannes festival.

"Already, I should not have taken days or weeks, because everything is done under very tight deadlines," she recalls.

"And I didn't mean to be offensive either. It's like Brad Pitt is inviting you to dinner: you don't take a week to accept!"

"I took a few hours, I could have just taken a few seconds," adds the actress.

"But since I was very excited, I know from experience that when you have a strong emotion, you still have to let it sink a little to have clear ideas."
