The investigation opened Sunday morning after the Plomelin tragedy led to the arrest of four people in the Brest region (Finistère) on Monday.
In the night from Saturday to Sunday, a 20-year-old man died on the sidelines of a private party organized in this small town near Quimper.
According to
Ouest-France
, the victim obviously wanted to prevent a fight.
Soufiane Hamdoun, a 20-year-old Quimperois, would have tried to intervene to prevent the altercation from degenerating.
He would then have received a stab which proved fatal.
A 19-year-old man was also injured in the altercation.
His days are not in danger.
The criminal investigation was entrusted to the research brigade of the gendarmerie of Quimper.
The Quimper prosecutor's office withdrew from the case in favor of the Brest prosecutor's office.
