[Explanation] At 9:14 on June 28, the D1758 high-speed train from Luzhou to Guangzhou South slowly exited the Luzhou High-speed Railway Station, marking the official opening of the Luzhou section of the Mian-Lu High-speed Railway in Sichuan, and the southern Sichuan region was formed for half an hour Traffic circle.

  It is understood that the construction of the Zilu section of the Mianlu High-speed Railway started in June 2016. After 5 years of construction, it was opened for operation. It is located in southern Sichuan, with a total length of 128 kilometers, 7 stations, and an operating speed of 250 kilometers per hour. The large cities Luzhou and Zigong were connected to high-speed railways for the first time, and Luzhou was the first to be connected to passenger railways.

  Mr. Liao, a citizen of Chengdu, from his hometown in Luzhou, specially went back to Luzhou to experience the first high-speed rail. He used to have a headache when he thought of driving back to his hometown for nearly 4 hours. Now with the high-speed rail, he can go back to Luzhou to visit relatives and friends at any time. He feels comfortable and convenient.

  It used to take about three and a half hours to drive from Chengdu (to Luzhou) by myself. Now it only takes one and a half hours to save two hours. I took this train and bought this ticket.

  [Explanation] According to Zhuo Jiancheng, the project manager of the Mianlu Zilu section of the China Railway Second Academy, the Zilu section of the Mianlu high-speed railway is the first high-speed railway with a ballast track in Sichuan with a speed of 250 kilometers per hour.

According to calculations, compared with the ballastless track, the overall cost of the ballasted track from the early construction to the later maintenance is reduced by 30%.

  (Mian-Lu High-speed Railway Inner Zi-Lu Section) is the first ballasted high-speed railway in Sichuan Province. It is a railway with low tunnel ratio and high bridge-road ratio.

The entire line of this railway is basically an open line project, and what you see is basically the scenery of the city and the residential buildings along the line.

Therefore, when we select the route, we mainly follow the integration with the local planning, which is conducive to the creation of a comprehensive transportation system for the locality. Basically, each (high-speed rail) station can pass 4 directions or 5 directions.

  [Explanation] The reporter learned that the Mianlu high-speed rail is connected to the Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed rail in the north, the Chongqing-Kunming high-speed rail in the south, and the Chengdu-Kunming high-speed rail in the middle. It is an important part of the inter-city railway network of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and southern Sichuan. One of the urban agglomeration's fast passenger transport corridors has constructed a half-hour traffic circle in southern Sichuan and a one-hour traffic circle between southern Sichuan and Chengdu and Chongqing.
