[100th Anniversary of the Communist Party of China] Jiaxing Railway Station was rebuilt and refurbished to welcome visitors from all over the world
On the occasion of July 1st, Zhejiang Jiaxing Railway Station, as a historic building that undertook an important mission during the Jiaxing Nanhu Conference of the 1st National Congress of the Communist Party of China, was reopened after 13 months of renovation and reconstruction.
Jiaxing Railway Station covers an area of more than 60,000 square meters. The ground station building is transformed into the Jiaxing Railway Station History Museum with a large commemorative exhibition of the Communist Party of China; the appearance is 1:1 restored to Jiaxing Railway Station in 1921, and the building bricks are taken from Nanhu Lake mud. The colors are divided into 1921 commemorative red bricks and 2021 commemorative blue bricks, implying that the Communist Party of China was founded in 1921 and that 2021 coincides with the centennial of the founding of the party.
As the first fully sunken railway station in the Yangtze River Delta, the main traffic and commercial functions such as the waiting hall and ticket hall of Jiaxing Railway Station are placed underground.
About 12,000 high-efficiency cadmium telluride thin-film photovoltaic modules are installed on the roofs of the north and south stations of the station, which have the characteristics of high power generation, good low-light effect, and low temperature coefficient. The annual power generation is expected to be 1.1 million kWh, which is called "forest". Train station in China".
