On the 29th, it was decided that an episode in which a blind man living in Wakayama City commute by bus with the support of elementary school students would become a picture book, and the man was interviewed by a picture book writer.

The picture book is a story about a "warm little hand relay" that tells an episode of Wakayama City employee Hirotaka Yamazaki, who lost his eyesight due to an intractable disease, commuting by bus with the support of children for many years.

On the 29th, Tokyo picture book writer Miyuki Kimura visited Mr. Yamazaki and talked to him at a hotel in Wakayama City while keeping a sufficient distance.



Mr. Kimura said, "I wanted to make the kindness of children into a picture book," and Mr. Yamazaki said, "When I don't like going to work, I get the children to support me and make every day fun. He explained his feelings when he received support from the children.

After the interview by Mr. Kimura, Mr. Yamazaki said, "I want many people to understand the compassion of the children."



In addition, Mr. Kimura said, "Because of the difficult times in Corona, I want to make a picture book that will be kind to many people."



The picture book will take about a year to be produced and will be published next year.
