[100th Anniversary of the Communist Party of China] Peking University's Red House "Glorious Achievement Red Prologue" Theme Exhibition Launched

  On the 29th, the "Red Prologue to the Glorious Achievement-Peking University Red House and the Theme Exhibition of the Early Beijing Revolution of the Communist Party of China" (hereinafter referred to as the "exhibition") was officially opened to the public.

  The Red House of Peking University is located at No. 29 Wusi Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing. It was built in 1916 and completed in 1918, referred to as the Red House of Peking University.

It was originally the location of the School Department, the First Academy (Liberal Arts), and the library of Beijing University. It was also the first place to spread Marxism in China.

  It is reported that the exhibition is divided into 6 parts and 19 units, covering an area of ​​about 8,000 square meters.

There are 958 pictures, 1,357 pieces of cultural relics, 40 pieces of art, 25 groups of landscape works, 5 groups of sand table models, 16 groups of new media art, and 13 precious images and videos.

  In the second part of the exhibition, "Arouse the National Awakening and Build the Center of the New Cultural Movement", the first unit "New Cultural Movement Origin" exhibition hall, a wall is filled with "New Youth" magazines of different issues.

According to the narrator, the two magazines in the showcase containing Li Dazhao's articles "The Victory of the Common People" and "My View on Marxism" are originals; on the interactive touch screen in the corner of the room, visitors can read the "Guests to Youth" after touching the selection. "The Diary of a Madman" and other classic articles in "New Youth" in nine volumes.

  Li Dazhao's office is the library director's office on the southeast corner of the first floor of the Peking University Red Building.

On the quaint desk, materials such as "Weekly Review" and "New Youth" are neatly arranged.

After the May Fourth Movement, there have been many symposiums held here, debates on Marxist theoretical issues, and planning to establish the Peking University Marxist Theory Research Association.

In 1920, Li Dazhao met with Vikingsky, the representative of the Communist International, to study and formulate the establishment of the Communist Party. The Beijing Communist Party Group was also established here.
