Koichiro Fujita, an emeritus professor at Tokyo Medical and Dental University, who wrote numerous books as a parasite researcher and appealed for coexistence with microorganisms, has passed away.

I was 81 years old.

Koichiro Fujita was born in 1945 in the former Manchuria, and after graduating from Tokyo Medical and Dental University School of Medicine, he accompanied a parasite such as humans and dogs to a research team for diseases caused by parasites in the Amami region. I started researching "filaria" and so on.

In 1987, he became a professor at Tokyo Medical and Dental University and conducted parasite research. Complained of "coexistence with microorganisms" as weakening the function of immunity.

Mr. Fujita was hospitalized in April when he was ill, but died of accidental pneumonia at a hospital in Tokyo on the 14th of last month.
