From June 1 to 27, 59 newly imported confirmed cases in Yunnan Province, 48 of which were imported from Myanmar.

  According to Myanmar's "Golden Phoenix News", Myanmar has newly confirmed 804 cases on June 27, with the confirmed rate as high as 17.37%.

Due to the continuous and rapid growth of confirmed cases, the Ministry of Health and Sports of Myanmar has implemented COVID-19 prevention restrictions on cities and towns in Yangon, Sagaing, Chin State, Shan State and other provinces and states.

  According to data released by the Yunnan Provincial Health Commission, from June 1 to 27, 59 newly imported confirmed cases in Yunnan Province were imported from Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, and Indonesia.

Among them, 48 cases were imported from Myanmar, 46 cases were imported by land, and 2 cases were imported by air.

  On June 21, the Headquarters of the Leading Group of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee and Government's Response to the Epidemic Convened a Border Epidemic Prevention and Control Meeting.

The meeting pointed out that the biggest import risk of epidemic prevention and control in Yunnan Province lies in the border areas.

The meeting requested the border states (cities) and counties (cities) of the province to keep the border defense line unrelenting, strengthen front-line management and control at the border, increase the construction of isolation points, accelerate the promotion of vaccination work, and do a good job in normalized epidemic prevention and control. Strengthen information release and popular science publicity, and resolutely consolidate and expand the results of epidemic prevention and control.
