Details of the tragedy of an Egyptian young man who took a "yield pill" instead of Viagra

An Egyptian young man was killed in Minya after he took a dangerous chemical, thinking it was a "Viagra" pill, the well-known sexual stimulant.

The victim is called Muhammad Mahmoud, and he ate a "yellow grain", which is a grain used by farmers in Egypt to preserve the wheat crop from decay, but it releases phosphine gas, which is "extremely toxic."

Nabil, the victim's brother, told the scenes of what happened in front of the investigation authorities, as he said that he woke up Friday night to the screaming of his 23-year-old brother's wife, who has been married for two years, as she was seeking help after her husband fell into a state of severe fatigue and loss of consciousness.

The victim was transferred to Mallawi Hospital, where Nabil added that the doctors told him that his brother had taken a toxic "yield pill", explaining that he was shocked, ruling out what his brother initially thought was "suicide."

But when the wife was summoned, she said that Muhammad had an unknown pill, and upon examination, it was found that it was a “Viagra” that the victim intended to take, but he swallowed instead of a “yield pill.”

The security authorities in Minya received a notification from the director of Mallawi General Hospital, of the arrival of Mohamed Mahmoud, a worker and resident of the eastern village of Seif Pasha, with a dead body.
