In an interview granted Sunday to our colleagues from "Figaro", the CEO of CNews Serge Nedjar announces three new programs for the channel of the Canal + group.

These three new programs will strengthen its weekend schedule.

At the end of the media season, each channel announces its novelties for the start of September.

It is now CNews' turn to do so, via an interview that its managing director Serge Nedjar grants to our colleagues from the newspaper 

Le Figaro

He announces three new programs which should strengthen the channel of the Canal + group during the weekend, "always with a critical mind but without dogma", he promises.

A program entrusted to Mathieu Bock-Côté

The first of these three new programs will be devoted to the economy, the second to international news and the third to news across the Atlantic.

The latter will be moderated by the Quebec sovereignist and conservative essayist Mathieu Bock-Côté.

In this interview, the general manager of CNews also returns to the formal notice of the chain by the CSA for having given too much voice to the RN.

"We were very surprised at the publicity that was made by the CSA around this affair", he explains, adding that there was "a misunderstanding between the CSA and us".

CNews' audience grew 65% in one year, reaching 1.8% audience share.
