At lunch, Cairen Yongji and Yongzang’s mother and daughter were sitting at the dining table and talking while eating. The room was spacious and clean, and the milk tea in the electric kettle was boiling.

Cairen Yongji has a beautiful face and Mingche's eyes are the same as the baby 11 years ago. In 2010, she was rescued from the Yushu earthquake in Qinghai. She was called by people because of a photo of blood on her cheeks and a small hand holding half a cookie Make "Biscuit Baby".

At that time, Ren Yongji was under a year old and had no memory of the disaster.

But when mentioning the armed police, doctors, and citizens who enthusiastically helped back then, my mother Yong Zang couldn't help but flushed her eyes, "They are so good, but I can't even say thank you."

After the earthquake, the mother and daughter moved into a new home with complete water, electricity and heating networks. Although bidding farewell to the days of "power cut and burning cow dung" in the past, it is not easy to start a new life.

In 2016, Yong Zang's father was ill, and her two younger brothers were admitted to universities in other places. The burden of seeking medical care, studying, and supporting the family fell on her alone.

To take care of business, accompany his father to Beijing to see a doctor, Yong Zang has no time to take care of his daughter.

Since elementary school, Cairen Yongji got up, combed his hair, went to school every day, and also learned to cook and wash.

"Her fried potato shreds are more fragrant than mine," Yongzo was very proud.

After years of hard work, Yongzang's clothing store in the city center is now in a stable business. Not only does the mother and daughter worry about food and clothing, she also saves a sum of money for her daughter to study in the future.

"Recently, many stores around me have opened live broadcasts and online sales, and the source of customers has become more and more popular." Yongzang said.

And the young girl Cairen Yongji was born, with a smile on her face instead of scars.

"I used to like to play, but now I don't have time," she pointed to the electronic piano on the windowsill. "From the sixth grade, I have to study English and writing with my classmates every weekend."

Cairen Yongji is about to enter junior high school. Yongzang hopes that his daughter will go to a boarding high school near the provincial capital where the atmosphere is better.

"She is still so young, she has to live 800 kilometers away, and she will spend less and less time with me in the future." Since Cairen Yongji was born, Yongzang has been raised by one person, and her mother and daughter have never been separated.

Although reluctant to give up, Yong Zang still made up his mind for the future of his daughter.

"In the past, our parents were herdsmen and did not pay much attention to education." In order to reduce the burden on the family, Yong Zang dropped out of school in the sixth grade. "At that time, there were not many situations like me, but now the parents are mostly office workers , I am very attentive to children's learning."

Seeing other parents personally tutoring homework, Yong Zang blamed himself and was anxious.

"Not going to college is my biggest regret." She hopes that her daughter will find a stable job in the future. "I will no longer work as hard as me, and I will not rely on my parents or husband to support myself."

Every day, Cairen Yongji goes to school by car, still studying at the alma mater of Yongzang, but the "small bungalows and dusty broken roads" have become spacious and clean asphalt roads, with buildings on both sides, lush trees, vehicles and pedestrians. Keep going.

"Usually, herders from neighboring counties and villages do business in the urban area. They return to their hometowns every year during the cordyceps harvesting season and earn two stable incomes a year. Many people have already bought houses in Yushu City," said Yong Zang.

Last year, Cairen Yongji’s school choir went to Shanghai to record a show. They stepped on the transparent floor of the Oriental Pearl Tower hundreds of meters high and watched the cruise ships on the Huangpu River resemble “small triangles”. She and her friends were very special. Excited.

Nowadays, the uncles who have returned to their hometowns from outside the province and abroad set up dance studios and teach English. Cai Ren Yongji wants to be like them in the future.

"She can do whatever she wants to go," Yong Zang smiled and looked at his daughter, "but first study hard."

Eleven years later, the once-injured and helpless "Biscuit Baby" has grown into a healthy, lively and brave dream-seeking girl. Together with her "peer"-the reconstructed Yushu New City, she releases youth and vitality.
