The 1994 Toyota Supra driven by Paul Walker in

The Fast and the Furious

was snapped up for $ 550,000.

The auction was organized by the Barrett-Jackson house in Las Vegas.

This recognizable orange racing car remains dear to the eyes of fans of the franchise and will forever be linked to the actor who tragically passed away in 2013 at the age of 40 in a car accident.

The car had been specially customized for the needs of the first film by The Shark Shop, a garage popular with heavy-duty enthusiasts located in El Segundo, California.

It was then modified for the needs of the second film before returning to its original state.

Heavy under the hood

Under the hood, this Supra impresses in particular with its 2JZ-GTE engine, which was also praised in the first film.

“Perhaps the best known of the engines from Japan.

The 2JZ engine… It's going to decimate everything, ”Jesse's character declares in a sequence.

As specified during the sale, the original model was produced by the Japanese brand until 1998. But in the face of the success of the films, the Supra was resuscitated in 2020 with a completely new design.

We just have to hope that her new owner will not let her sleep in a garage but that she will once again be entitled to a few laps of the track!
