Météo France extended this Sunday orange vigilance for thunderstorms and / or rain-flooding to 19 departments ranging from the Massif Central to the north-east of the country.

The meteorological forecast institute had already placed eight departments in the center of the country on orange vigilance (Yonne, Nièvre, Allier, Creuse, Puy-de-Dôme, Corrèze, Cantal and Lot) for a rainstorm event possibly accompanied by hail and strong gusts of wind, which should subside on Monday morning.

This vigilance has been extended and a total of 19 departments are now concerned until Monday morning 6 a.m. (those of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, Auvergne, Haut-Rhin, Ain, Rhône, Loire, Creuse, Corrèze and Lot), indicates Météo France.

The institute warns of significant accumulations of precipitation, and locally hailstorms and strong gusts of wind.
