Dubai Summer Surprises: wait for amazing offers starting next Thursday
With a wide range of exciting activities and shows that continue over 10 weeks, the 24th edition of Dubai Summer Surprises will kick off next Thursday, which combines the shopping experience, entertainment and family fun for Dubai residents and visitors from the first of July to the fourth of next September.
The new edition of "Surprises" offers many new events and activities.
The event highlights Dubai World's position as a fun, open and safe tourist destination, as all participating destinations, shops, malls and tourist attractions follow important health and safety measures, including a commitment to social distancing and wearing masks at all times.
The opening festivities of the new session include the spectacular light shows that will be held in two of the city's most famous landmarks, namely, the Dubai Festival City Mall through the “Imagine” show, and the Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa through the Dubai Dancing Fountain show.
The new season also features shopping mall offers, various activities and concerts by Arab and foreign stars, most notably the Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama and the star Faya Younan.
Today, Sunday, the Dubai Festivals and Retail Corporation revealed the Dubai Summer Surprises agenda at a press conference held at “The View at the Palm” on Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, which is the viewing platform that was recently opened on the 52nd floor to provide a comprehensive view of the city.
As for the entertainment shows, they are geared towards the whole family with a focus on fun activities for children, as an amazing world will return with a renewal in personality at the Dubai World Trade Center.
City Walk will host the Smurfs characters, who will transform the City Walk plaza into a Smurf-style wonderland with many activities and games for the whole family to enjoy.
In Ibn Battuta Mall, the two beloved classic Tom and Jerry characters will be part of the Tom and Jerry Cheese Town experience. This event allows the audience to enjoy games and salute Tom and Jerry, in addition to live concerts that present the most famous songs of the famous animated series.
The 24th edition of Surprises will witness for the first time the launch of Restaurant Week during the summer, where food lovers can visit a number of the best restaurants in Dubai, and eat breakfast, lunch and dinner at competitive prices.
Food events and discounts also include the Eid al-Adha feast show on July 20 and 21, and the show includes more than 20 events, menus and promotions across the city during the Eid period.
