Gifu Prefecture and Gifu City have announced that five new people have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
It is the second consecutive day that the number of confirmed infections per day has dropped below 10 people.
A total of 9189 people have been confirmed to be infected in Gifu prefecture.
