Five departments were placed this Sunday morning in orange vigilance for thunderstorms by Météo France, according to the last bulletin at 10 am.

These five new departments bring to 28 the number of departments in orange vigilance "storms" or "heat wave".

The departments which were already concerned by this orange alert were: Ain, Allier, Ardèche, Cantal, Côte-d'Or, Doubs, Drôme, Jura, Isère, Loire, Haute-Loire, Haute-Marne, Bas-Rhin, Haut-Rhin, Nièvre, Puy-de-Dôme, Rhône, Haute-Saône, Saône-et-Loire, Savoie, Haute -Savoie, the Vosges and the Territoire de Belfort.

As for the Rhône, it retains its dual vigilance "heat wave" and "storms", with late night temperatures of around 20 to 23 degrees.

Storm cells are currently moving up from Tarn-et-Garonne towards Allier with good rainfall intensities and while waiting for them to tumble over the rest of the 28 departments concerned, the weather will be less hot on Sunday but with still stormy showers which will require the caution especially in the east of the country.

In the morning, stormy rains will be temporarily very strong from the South-West to the Massif Central and Burgundy.

They will shift to the eastern half of the country.

Elsewhere, a few waves will occur but will spare Normandy, Île-de-France as far as Hauts-de-France.

Hail in places and strong gusts exceeding 100 km / h

In the afternoon, the Mediterranean rim and Aquitaine will remain under the threat of some showers while in Haute-Normandie and Hauts-de-France, the weather will be drier with cloudy skies.

The other regions are exposed to the risk of storm waves, strong in places.

Precipitation could be very heavy from the North-East to Rhône-Alpes, with hail in places and strong gusts of wind near or exceeding 100 km / h.

Vortex phenomena are occasionally possible.

It is the same in the south of the Massif Central, in this case, the Tarn, the Lot and the Aveyron, during the afternoon and the whole of Auvergne in the evening.
