Around 4,000 people celebrated on Saturday night in Hamburg's city park - the corona rules were violated.

The police tried several times to break up large groups of people, as a police spokesman said on Saturday morning.

However, since this did not succeed, the police decided to evacuate the site.

Occasionally, bottles were thrown at the police officers.

Two of them were slightly injured and were taken to hospital as a precaution.

They were released a short time later.

It is unclear whether visitors were also injured.

"From 1:15 am there were only a few people on site, it got quieter," said the police spokesman.

There were no arrests.

There were other gatherings of people that night with around 600 celebrants in Altona on Alma-Wartenberg-Platz.

There were around 800 people on the shoulder blade and in Susannenstrasse, 300 at the Grüner Jäger and 400 people on the Heiligengeistfeld.

Up to 600 people also gathered at the Inner Alster.

On St. Pauli there was a lot going on again with 4,500 people in the restaurants and in the streets.

However, there were no incidents here.
