On June 18, the Longxi-Jialing River Bridge was closed smoothly, marking the completion of the Hechang Expressway.
So far, the 427-kilometer Chongqing Third Ring Expressway has been closed, and Chongqing has officially entered the "Three Rings Era".
The Hechang Expressway is the last section of the Chongqing Third Ring Expressway that has not yet been completed and opened to traffic. It starts at the Hechuan Shaxi junction of Chongqing Third Ring Expressway and ends at the Jiantuowan Interchange of the Yuchang Expressway. The total length of the route is 76 kilometers. Standard construction of lanes, with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour, with 8 lanes in both directions.
The Longxi Jialing River Bridge is 1053 meters long and 43.5 meters wide. It is the first high-speed, municipal joint construction bridge in Chongqing and the widest bridge on the Jialing River. It has the characteristics of deep water, large span, and wide deck. The eighth company of the Public Bureau contracted the construction.
After the project is opened to traffic, it will effectively improve the regional expressway network and help the construction of the dual-city economic circle in the Chengdu-Chongqing region.
