[Explanation] On June 18, the reporter learned from the Inner Mongolia Forest Industry Group that the Greater Xing'an Mountains forest area in Inner Mongolia suffered heavy rainfall for 5 consecutive days, which caused the water volume of various water systems to increase sharply, and dangerous situations appeared in many places.

The local forest fire brigade and militia have been dispatched to fight floods.

[Explanation] Affected by heavy rainfall, mountain torrents flooded into Mangui Township, Genhe City, large areas of local vegetable gardens were flooded, and some residents’ homes were flooded; some roads were seriously damaged due to low-lying terrain.

Local militiamen and semi-professional forest firefighters are strengthening roads, blocking culverts, and preventing waterlogging.

At first I threw a few bags (trying), but the water flow was too big and they washed away. Later, I found (branch) (wood) sticks nearby, inserted (from the culvert), and then laid the bags again, about 400 were laid. Many bags have basically blocked all the culverts.

[Explanation] In Alihe Town, Oroqen Autonomous Banner, the water level of the dam continues to rise, and floods may occur at any time, directly threatening the lives and property of the people along the dam.

At 20:30 on June 17, the Alihe Brigade of the Greater Khingan Mountains Forest Fire Fighting Branch in Inner Mongolia dispatched professional forest firefighters to the scene overnight to quickly reinforce the dam.

We worked continuously for four or five hours from 8:50 last night to 1:30 in the morning. The total length of the embankment is 970 meters. At present, there are still three dangers in the embankment, which have been washed away by floods. The embankment has been suspended underneath. Now, the method we are currently adopting is to stabilize the foundation with sandbags and block the sandbags to a height of 1.5 meters to prevent the dam from being washed away when the flood peak arrives, and to ensure the safety of the dam.

[Explanation] Up to now, there are still dangers in Mordaga Town, Genhe City, Mangui Town, Genhe City, and other places, and rescue work is still ongoing.
