The announcement by the President of the Government,
Pedro Sánchez
, about the end of the mandatory nature of
masks
in certain spaces as
of June 26
to protect themselves against the
coronavirus
, has led the Communities to assume this decision and wonder how it will be articulated this rule to adapt it at the regional level.

A study shows the effectiveness of vaccines against the gamma variant of the coronavirus
Researchers from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (United States) have shown the effectiveness of vaccines against the gamma variant of the
coronavirus
, which caused an increase in deaths in
Brazil
this spring.
Specifically, the experts found that
vaccination
with an
mRNA
vaccine
induces antibody responses that would protect humans from infection with the
gamma / P.1 variant
.
Hamsters previously infected with the virus strains that were circulating for the first time in early 2020 were also protected from infection with the gamma variant nine months later.
The findings suggest that previous
SARS-CoV-2
infection
and vaccines that are based on older strains of the virus still provide protection against gamma infection.
"The animals were quite protected. There may be people who become infected with this variant even if they are vaccinated or have been previously infected, but they should not contract a serious disease," they have detailed.

Spain exceeds 35 million vaccines administered against the coronavirus
A total of 35,412,140 doses against the
coronavirus
have been administered by health personnel in Spain since the
vaccination
process
began at the end of last December, according to the latest data from the Ministry of Health.
These doses are injected into more than 22.6 million citizens (specifically, 22,684,911), which represents 47.9% of the population.
Of these, almost 14 million (13,939,564, exactly) are immunized after having received the full guideline.
Those almost 14 million represent 29.4% of the country's population.
The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, predicted last April that in the week of June 14 - that is, in this one - there would be more than 15 million people vaccinated with the complete schedule.
