  According to the results of a survey of Hong Kong people's intention to live in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area released by the Statistics Office of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in 2020, about 260,000 people are interested in living in cities in the Greater Bay Area.

In addition, in recent years, the number of Hong Kong youths going to the Mainland to study has continued to increase, and many cities in the Greater Bay Area have schools for Hong Kong and Macau children.

According to the DAB, the above situation reflects the huge demand for the education industry in the Greater Bay Area.

  It is understood that the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), which is scheduled to officially open in September 2022, will break through the boundaries of the traditional academic framework and set up four hubs of function, information, society, and system to realize an interdisciplinary education and scientific research model.

Zhang Guojun believes that this is a very good educational experiment and attempt, which is rare in all parts of the world. He hopes that Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao will use the advantages of the Greater Bay Area to make more similar innovation attempts in the education field.
