A gorilla mannequin that has been standing in Hokancho at the west exit of JR Okayama Station for many years.

The store where the gorilla was installed will be closed this summer, and we will start our second life in Setouchi City.

The gorilla mannequin was installed at a school uniform specialty store in Hokancho, Kita-ku, Okayama City.

The store manager, Yosuke Hirao, started wearing school clothes by covering the mannequin with a gorilla mask from around 1984.

The gorilla mannequin said, "It's a waste to throw away the mask that my son gave me, so I just put it on." However, once I saw it, it had an unforgettable presence and has been popular as a symbol of the shopping district for many years.

Mr. Hirao, who turned 80 this year, will close the store this summer.

When I was looking for a gorilla recipient, "I've been working hard for many years. I feel like I'm going to marry him." Kazuyoshi Onoda of Setouchi City Nagafune-cho decided to take over.

Mr. Onoda is to set up a gorilla on a farm near his home.

Mr. Onoda says, "I would like everyone to continue watching. I hope the children who visit will be pleased."

Mr. Onoda's farm is located east of JR Osafune Station, along Prefectural Road 381 Ushibunka Noboru Main Line.

It means that the gorilla will be installed on a sunny day after the rainy season.
