The water level of some rivers has risen.

The Chongqing Municipality’s anti-fighting guidelines decided to release the third-level early warning information of river floods and initiate the fourth-level emergency response for flood control.

  The Chongqing Municipal Meteorological and Hydrological Department has monitored that since the 17th, 71 rainfall stations in the five districts and counties of Chongqing Shizhu, Kaizhou, Yunyang, Fengdu, and Liangping have experienced heavy rainstorms. Kaizhou, Youyang, Yunyang and Fengdu , Wuxi and other 15 districts and counties, 128 rainfall stations have heavy rain, the maximum rainfall is 246.2 mm (Shizhu Yellow Crane), the maximum hourly rainfall is 78.9 mm (Shizhu Longtan, 4 o'clock on the 18th).

It is expected that from day to night on the 18th, moderate rain to heavy rain and local heavy rain will occur in the central and eastern parts of Chongqing; on the 19th, moderate rain to heavy rain and local heavy rain will occur in the southeast region from day to night.

  Affected by rainfall, as of 10 o'clock on the 18th, the Puzi River in Pengshui County, Chongqing had an over-alert water level (over 0.17 meters); Tangxi River in Yunyang County was close to the alert water level, with an increase of about 1.8 to 2.3 meters; Nanhe, Kaizhou District, Taoxi River, Jialing River Chengjiang in Beibei District, Ciqikou of Jialing River in Shapingba District, etc. have seen an increase of more than 3 meters; the above-mentioned current water level is still rising.

  After the Chongqing Municipal Office of Prevention and Control and the meteorological, water conservancy, hydrological and other departments and units in emergency consultation and judgment, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Chongqing Municipal Flood Control and Drought Relief Emergency Plan", the Chongqing Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters decided to issue river floods at 11 o'clock on June 18 Level III early warning information, and start flood control level IV emergency response.

  Chongqing’s anti-fighting requirements require that districts, counties, such as Kaizhou, Beibei, Shapingba, and related member units of the city’s anti-fighting guidelines should pay close attention to the rainwater conditions, especially the changes in the Yangtze River, Jialing River, Wujiang River and some small and medium-sized rivers. Strengthen inspections, resolutely evacuate and transfer people in threatened areas, mobilize emergency rescue teams and materials in a timely manner, quickly and efficiently deal with disasters (dangers), and avoid mass deaths and injuries.
