It's been 11 (10) years since (I) painted lacquer paintings. The first work was created in 2011. At that time, it took more than two months.
After the creation, I felt that the effect was quite good, and I felt quite excited, which gave me the confidence to keep doing it.
[Explanation] China has more than 7,000 years of lacquer art tradition, Chinese lacquer painting is a kind of painting born out of it, and the large lacquer used as a raw material is extremely precious.

The big lacquer is the natural sap cut from the sumac tree. There is a saying called Baili Qiandao Yijin lacquer, which means that lacquer is more precious and hard to come by.
[Explanation] The creation process of lacquer painting is relatively complicated and requires multiple processes. It often takes several months to create a lacquer painting.

This painting is a work that I created based on the Helan Mountain rock paintings. The black and red lacquer inside forms a sharp contrast. I made the rock paintings with eggshell inlays.
Eggshell inlays, snail inlays, and various gems inlays are called Baibao inlays in lacquer art.
[Explanation] In addition to lacquer painting, Lu Xiqin is also engaged in lacquer making.
In Lu Xiqin's view, there is still a lot of room for the inheritance and development of lacquer art in China.

Lacquerware originated in China, but now Japan (lacquerware) has developed (exhibited) better.
As a Chinese, I also want to inherit this (lacquer art in China) better.
