On June 16, the police from the Yiche Gashan Border Police Station of the Ili Border Management Detachment of the Xinjiang Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station found a bird in the lawn flapping its wings constantly but unable to take off during routine patrols in the area.

Upon seeing this, the police immediately went forward to inspect the bird and found no obvious trauma to the bird’s wings, legs, etc., but was physically weak and in poor mental state, so he took it back to the police station for further observation, and then contacted the bird as soon as possible. The resident forest police station was handed over.

After being identified by the police from the forest police station, the bird was confirmed to be a national second-class protected animal, Kestrel, and will be released to nature after further recovery.

The picture shows the police carefully inspecting the Kestrel's body.
