A huge crocodile over 5 meters arrived from Malaysia at the zoo in Kawazu Town, Shizuoka Prefecture, on the Izu Peninsula, and immediately drank water and showed a healthy appearance.

Male and female "saltwater crocodile" were brought to the zoo "Izu" in Kawazu Town.

I left the Malaysian zoo where I was bred on the 14th of this month and arrived via Narita Airport on the morning of the 17th.

First, a female crocodile out of a sturdy wooden box was lifted by a crane and placed in a new exhibition hall, where it immediately entered the pool and dived into the water.

Then, a male crocodile with a body length of 5 meters and 10 centimeters was carried out of the wooden box, and when the keeper sprinkled water on it, he opened his mouth wide and drank water.

According to the zoo, this male saltwater crocodile is estimated to be 50 years old and weighs 800 kilograms, and is currently considered to be the largest crocodile on display at zoos in the country.

The new breeding exhibition building for the two animals is 109 square meters in size, and the zoo will carefully observe the condition of the crocodile and open it to the public from the 26th of this month if there is no problem with the physical condition.

Director Tsuyoshi Shirawa said, "The crocodile that I had wanted to come from two years ago arrived safely, and I am impressed. I want people who come to see that the crocodile is such an animal that grows up to this point. I was talking.
