[Explanation] In 2013, the Chinese government put forward the "One Belt One Road" initiative for the first time, aiming to integrate more countries and regions into economic globalization and promote inclusive development.

In the past seven years, how has the “Belt and Road Initiative” been achieved?

The answer may be found in the book "A Case Study of "One Belt One Road" Construction: A Perspective of Inclusive Globalization" published recently.

On June 16, the new book launch ceremony and publication forum was held in Beijing.

  [Explanation] The book is divided into two editions in Chinese and English, with 22 chapters in total. It is the first book to systematically study the “Belt and Road” construction cases. It was written by dozens of Chinese and foreign scholars.

  [Explanation] This book summarizes the project types and construction modes of the "Belt and Road" construction, and systematically expounds 21 construction cases from the background of the host country's governance structure, development history, and cooperation mode, and conducts a theoretical summary.

The lead author Liu Weidong introduced that these cases are distributed in 19 countries along the “Belt and Road” and cover different types of projects such as railways and ports.

  For example, we talked about the Mombasa-Nairobi Railway, we talked about the China-Laos Railway, and the China-Belarus Industrial Park, and many other cases. Through in-depth analysis of 21 cases, we summarized the model and experience of the “Belt and Road” construction. , It is of great significance for everyone to understand what is happening in the "Belt and Road" in the real world.

  [Explanation] Liu Hui, a researcher at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, participated in the writing of the three chapters of the book. She has also visited many countries along the “Belt and Road” route. She was deeply impressed by the young local labor force who came to apply for the job.

  At the gate of the Oriental Industrial Park, there are many young laborers who are willing to work in our park, and then they apply for employment here. They said, can you introduce us to your industrial park to work, we like yours very much industrial area.

Africa, so far away from China, where we built an industrial park, has played a big role in driving the local population and improving their living standards, and they are also very happy to work in our industrial park.

  [Explanation] The book puts forward a number of theoretical knowledge based on the analysis of construction cases, which has an important guiding role in the development of overseas construction and the "going out" of enterprises.

All are of great significance, and they will also help people to understand the “Belt and Road” process more deeply, more vividly, and more vividly.
