A total of 18 people, including 11 high school students in Tokyo, were arrested for deceiving the "sustainable benefits" provided by the government to businesses affected by the new coronavirus.

It is believed that the recruiting student solicited classmates and applied for a lie.

A total of 18 people were arrested, including Takahiro Ishitani (26), whose occupation is unknown in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, and 11 male students attending high schools in Tokyo.

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, from June to September last year, 18 people pretended to be construction companies and applied for a lie that business income was significantly reduced due to the influence of the new coronavirus, and combined with the national "sustainable benefits". There is a suspicion of fraud for deceiving 16 million yen.

It is believed that three students who played the role of recruiting invited classmates and others at the direction of Mr. Ishitani, gathered at a park in Tokyo, and applied for a lie on their smartphones.

The students who applied for it received 200,000 to 400,000 yen as compensation, but the parents found and discovered the documents related to the sustainability benefits that arrived at the students' homes.

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the details of the investigation, as two suspects, including Ishitani, remain silent and 16 admit that they "wanted money to play."
