Power harassment such as using the palm of a subordinate as a cigarette ashtray at a drinking party at work when a male police officer in his 50s seconded to the Kyushu District Police Department was the deputy chief of a police station in Miyazaki Prefecture. I found out that I was doing the act.

The police will soon dispose of this police alert and caution.

The person who was doing power harassment was a male police officer in his 50s who was seconded from the Miyazaki Prefectural Police Headquarters to the Kyushu District Police Bureau.

According to the police, this police officer was a deputy chief at a police station in Miyazaki prefecture. It means that he was repeatedly acting as an ashtray and hitting his body.

In March, when an anonymous letter to the editor arrived at the police and an investigation was conducted, the fact of power harassment was found, and the police also acknowledged the facts in the hearing.

The prefectural police headquarters has stated that "it will not be a disciplinary measure because there were no injuries to subordinates," and it is a policy to take a lighter admonition and caution than the disciplinary action soon.

The Inspector General of the Prefectural Police Headquarters commented, "I am very sorry that power harassment has occurred, and I would like to make efforts to prevent recurrence."
