The strike movement continues at the Fonderie de Bretagne.
Mobilized for eight weeks against the proposed sale of the factory owned by Renault, the employees were received Wednesday by the car manufacturer.

“The employees are revolted to see what is offered to them.
Renault plays the deterioration of the situation.

In an attempt to "put an end to the conflict", the management of the factory had proposed to act a slight increase in the volume of production in 2021 "by increasing it from 19,000 to 21,000 tonnes in a full year, an increase of 10%" .
"This progress on the part of Renault Group is subject to the end of the conflict and the resumption of activities as quickly as possible under the required safety conditions", specifies the car manufacturer in a press release.
"Renault's words are enough"
This commitment, the strikers consider it insufficient.
The latter would like Renault, which has put up for sale this factory employing 350 employees, to commit to a workload plan in 2022 and 2023. “We need something written in black and white because the words of Renault, that's enough!"
In its press release, Renault also says it is committed "to supporting Fonderie de Bretagne until the takeover by a buyer by discussing volumes, investments and diversification on the basis of an industrial project for the future".

Employees are asking to remain in the Renault group and the return to Caudan of production volumes relocated abroad.
Renault announced on March 11 the sale of the plant.
Heir to the Forges d'Hennebont, created in 1860, the Fonderie de Bretagne has been established in Caudan since 1965.
