A wedding ceremony turns into a funeral after the death of 4 women in Yemen

A wedding ceremony in Amran Governorate, northern Yemen, turned into a funeral, after the death of 4 women after the walls of a building used as a tent for the wedding fell.

Local sources in the Jabal Yazid District of Amran Governorate confirmed that four women died tragically, including the bride's grandmother and her cousin, and dozens of them were injured as a result of the fall of the wall of the building where the wedding was taking place last weekend.

She also said that the building was not roofed, which forced the owner of the banquet to cover the building with cloth drums and tied them to the walls, so strong winds came that caused the wall to fall on the women present at the banquet, according to local news sites.

She added that the bride's family canceled and postponed the wedding, and that the number of deaths could increase, as many women are still in intensive care and their cases are serious.
