At the 94th year of life, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, pilot-cosmonaut Vladimir Shatalov died, according to Roscosmos. Shatalov made three space flights, during one of which he docked on the Soyuz-4 spacecraft with the Soyuz-5 spacecraft. So for the first time in the world, an experimental space station was created, and cosmonauts Alexei Eliseev and Yevgeny Khrunov made the transition through open space. Later, Shatalov served as head of the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center.
