A new political page is opening in Israel.

A new government took office yesterday (Monday, June 14, 2021), the first without Benjamin Netanyahu in 12 years.

The ultra-right-wing nationalist Naftali Bennett succeeds him as Prime Minister for 2 years.

He will then be replaced by the centrist Yaïr Lapid.

The new government is the result of the “coalition for change”.

Publicity

It is made up of members of the right, the left, the center and, for the first time in the country's history, a political formation representing the Arab minority.

This coalition was ratified on Sunday (June 13) in Parliament by a narrow majority: 60 votes in favor, 59 against.

The challenges that await the new power in place are numerous.

What will the post-Netanyahu look like?
