, American actress Lisa Banes died in hospital Monday, ten days after being hit by a two-wheeler in Manhattan.

She was 65 years old.

The two-wheeler had run a red light as Lisa Banes had signed up to cross the street, near the Lincoln Center cultural center.

The actress had since suffered from a head trauma.

New York police are unable to clarify which type of two-wheeler was involved, an investigation is underway, but no arrests have yet been made.
