Recently, Henan Satellite TV’s aquatic flying dance called "Praying" has stunning four people. The dancers are transformed into Luoshen, and they are capable of performing the underwater flying dances, giving the best interpretation of "Pleasant as a surprise, like a roaming dragon", even the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Spokesperson Hua Chunying also recommended and liked.

The dancer He Haohao, who is known as the "fairy", is a 2008 high school alumni of Guangdong South China Normal University and a graduate of the School of Journalism and Communication of Guangzhou University.

After an amazing "dance", He Haohao's call was blown up by various media. She laughed and said that she had spoken for a day.

In the early morning of June 14, a reporter from Guangzhou Daily conducted an exclusive interview with He Haohao by phone.

"I was born for the sea"

Huai Yongmei, a senior physical education teacher at the High School Affiliated to South China Normal University, said that after He Haohao finished filming "Mermaid" a few years ago, her alma mater invited her to be a guest of the "Hua Fu Salon" and communicated with her younger brothers and sisters. She was very sincere with the younger brothers and sisters. We share how to persist in doing what we believe to be.

She also mentioned the importance of insisting on physical exercises for her to exercise her will and quality and take a good life.

"Now that more people see her persistence, we are all very relieved." Huai Yongmei said.

Yesterday, the official WeChat account of Guangzhou University also pushed the story of He Haohao.

It is reported that after He Haohao came to Guangzhou University, she would go swimming whenever she had time.

And she insists on trying new things every year. She has been an admission guide for the Asian Games, an intern at a newspaper, participated in a workplace challenge, worked as a model, and skipped hip-hop.

He Haohao plans to travel twice a year, and he must go to the beach, "I was born for the sea, so long as there is water, I will plant in it."

The hardest thing is to dance underwater without blinking

Guangzhou Daily: When did you receive this assignment?

How long did it take from rehearsal to filming?

He Haohao: I received the task on May 23, and immediately started dancing on the same day.

At that time, I looked for some Dunhuang dances, learned and borrowed the movements of flying in the sky, and studied the "Fu of Luo Shen" seriously.

By May 30th, the whole set of movements was basically arranged.

It was taken underwater on June 3rd and 4th.

The entire dance is done by holding your breath, adjust your breathing on the surface, hold your breath and dive underwater to complete the action, and then go to the surface to breathe, about 50 seconds or so.

In order to overcome the problem of underwater buoyancy, we wear counterweights. Different scenarios have different counterweights, ranging from 2kg to 10kg.

The most difficult part of the whole process is that it is easy to blink your eyes frequently while underwater. There is no shortcut to practice underwater, you can only practice hard.

But before that, I had completed more than one hundred underwater dances with naked eyes, no mask and no nasal congestion, so I managed to overcome it relatively smoothly.

Guangzhou Daily: How do you feel about being popular overnight?

He Haohao: I didn't feel that I had become popular, and no one recognized me when I was walking on the road.

But when I heard that sister Hua Chunying recommended and liked it, I was so happy that it burst and screamed like a groundhog. The next second I cried with excitement.

Hua Chunying is my idol. Her recommendation has made us not only seen by the Chinese people, but also by the world.

In fact, when I started doing a mermaid show, I hoped to become a "Chinese Koi" that traveled all over the world, and let people all over the world know that China also has great mermaids.

As for the heat, I think I am quite "sober in the world." Today the heat is yours, and tomorrow it will be someone else's.

Committed to awakening public awareness of marine environmental protection

Guangzhou Daily: From your dance, you can feel your love for Chinese culture.

He Haohao: I really like Chinese culture, and I also like Hanfu.

I hope that through the performance, everyone can see the beauty of our country's uniforms and use their skills to promote the essence of Chinese culture.

Since 2017, I have been working hard to awaken the public’s awareness of marine environmental protection. I have been involved in coral conservation, coral surveys, coral planting, beach clearing operations, seabed garbage collection, sea turtle claim and sea turtle release.

I hope that through my meager power, our existing living environment can be better.

We can do less use of plastics and save water and electricity.

Over the years, I have also been influencing the people around me little by little. For example, my students use their own water cups instead of plastic bottles when going out.

I am very happy to have these results.

Guangzhou Daily: Your profession is a mermaid coach, how did you think of engaging in such a niche profession?

He Haohao: I have practiced synchronized swimming since I was 8 years old. I have practiced for 10 years and I love it very much.

Later, I learned diving, mermaid and underwater dance.

In the past two years, I have mainly been teaching and promoting mermaids in China.

I am very happy to see that more people learn about mermaids.

It’s really not easy going all the way. Some relatives and friends around me asked me what I wanted to do. Maybe it’s true love, so I can stick to it.

My university is radio and television journalism.

After graduating from university, I entered a large state-owned enterprise. The corporate atmosphere, leadership, and colleagues are all very good.

But after three years, I still chose to do what I really love.

In fact, I was also very nervous at the time, fearing that I would "starve to death".

But fortunately, my parents are very open-minded, saying: "Anyway, you have a bite of food at home." So my mentality is also quite good.

I am quite "Guangzhou" in my own bones

Guangzhou Daily: You were born in Guangzhou and grew up in Guangzhou. Do you have anything to say to the people in your hometown at this moment?

He Haohao: My ancestral home is Hunan, but I was born and raised in Guangzhou, so Guangzhou is also my hometown.

I want to say that the people in my hometown are great!

The people of Guangzhou are too low-key, doing things silently.

My parents are now in Guangzhou, and during this time they are also volunteering in the community.

I think I am quite "Guangzhou" in my bones.

Just like many people ask me what it feels like to be "red", I say that I am an ordinary, conscientious dancer.

If I have a good opportunity, I will seize it, and if there is no opportunity, I will continue to be myself.

This mentality may have been given to me by Guangzhou.

Guangzhou Daily: Are there any plans for the future?

He Haohao: I will go into the water today when I wake up and continue teaching.

Tiandadi University teaches the largest class (laughs).

Again, my life will not change much. What should I do or what I should do, but I will strive to do my best in everything.

I can lose to a very strong opponent, but I can't lose to myself.

Just like this filming, I had an inverted rotation movement. I did it five or six times and I was not satisfied. Even the director said forget it, it's basically OK.

But I just want to do it again.

I am very happy that everyone likes this performance, but I believe I can do better.

I also hope that there will be better works presented to you in the future.
