Her favorite quote:

“Babies are born with clenched fists because they instinctively know how life is a constant struggle.

"

Why this book?

  • Because Baptiste Beaulieu is a poet.

    Simply.

  • Because this novel gives faith in the human being

    and exudes benevolence.

  • Because the author has the sense of the right formula,

that he manages to burst out laughing and bring tears to his eyes.

  • Because this book is original

as its style is very personal.

He captivates with his tenderness and his fantasy.

  • Because Baptiste Beaulieu's fantasy is salutary.

Her novel reminded me of the

    Fabulous Fate of Amélie Poulain

and, for me, it's a compliment.

The essentials in 2 minutes

The plot.

Eugenie may be talking a little too much.

Joséphin may not be enough.

These people left behind by society will meet and love each other.

Characters.

Eugenie, inventor who is afraid of men.

Joséphin, traumatized taxi driver, a potter in his spare time.

Places.

 Paris, a magical city.

The time.

 Now.

The author.

Baptiste Beaulieu signs his fifth novel.

He is also a doctor in Toulouse and a columnist on France Inter.

This book was read with

the memory of having discovered Baptiste Beaulieu on social networks where his testimonies as a doctor "at the front" did good by providing clear information, without panicking, with welcome humor.

It made me curious to read what he does in fiction and I was not at all disappointed.

He has a crazy talent!
