The single elephant was out of the group for 8 days and was located in the northeast of the elephant group. It continued to be active in Xiyang Township, Jinning District, Kunming City, a distance of about 16 kilometers.

People are peaceful.

  Monitoring showed that at 19:25 on June 12, the elephant group descended to eat from the southwest of Nanshan, Shijie Township, Yimen County, Yuxi City, and began to return to the top of Nanshan Mountain at about 3:11 on June 13.

As of 15:00 on the 13th, the group of elephants was resting and sleeping near the top of Nanshan Mountain. Five members of the wild Asian elephant search and monitoring task force of the Yunnan Forest Fire Brigade continued to monitor.

  The provincial headquarters organizes experts to study and judge the migration route of the elephant group, guide the on-site headquarters to use the guidance method scientifically, and earnestly implement the relocation assistance measures to ensure the safety of the elephants.

The field headquarters of Yimen County, Jinning District, and Anning City invested a total of 319 emergency response personnel and police on the same day, dispatched 439 muck trucks, 47 engineering vehicles, 181 emergency vehicles, and 18 drones, and evacuated 916 people. Households, 3548 people, fed 1 ton of elephant food to supplement the food supply of Asian elephants.
