Sendai City announced on the 13th that it was confirmed that seven people in the city were infected with the new coronavirus.
Miyagi Prefecture also announced that there were no new infections confirmed outside of Sendai City.
It is the first time in about four months since February 21st that the number of people who announced infection confirmation on Sunday was in the single digits.
The cumulative total of infected people in Miyagi prefecture is 9030, including those who have already recovered.
