  On June 13, a production safety accident occurred in Sichuan Yifeng Food Co., Ltd. during the shutdown and maintenance period, resulting in 6 deaths.

  After preliminary investigation, at about 10:30 in the morning of the same day, the company's mechanics Xu and Cao fell into the 7-meter-deep wastewater pool when they were shutting down production for maintenance of the wastewater pipeline.

Company principals Wu XX, mason Gao XX, maintenance workers Huang XX and Tang XX fell into the waste water pond one after another during the rescue.

  Preliminary determination on the site showed that the concentration of hydrogen sulfide in the on-site plant exceeded the standard.

After the accident, the environmental protection department tested the surrounding gas, and the indicators did not exceed the standard.

At present, accident investigation and aftermath work is being carried out in an orderly manner.

  After the accident, relevant local departments immediately rushed to the scene to carry out emergency rescue, and immediately organized 49 emergency rescue team members to carry out on-site search and rescue work.

As of 16:18 in the afternoon, the last person was rescued. So far, all 6 persons have been searched and rescued from the pool and died after rescue efforts failed.
