Nara Prefecture and Nara City announced on the 13th that it was confirmed that nine new people in the prefecture were infected with the new coronavirus.
The prefecture also announced that a man in his 80s in Sango, who had been treated for the infection, had died.
Infection was confirmed in 7951 people in the prefecture, and 121 people died.
