[Explanation] Near the Uliji port on the China-Mongolia border, there is a police station packed in a container—the Uliji port border police station.

In the container, two beds, a wardrobe, and a desk occupy the space "full of power".

In this way, a border police station "enriched" in a container is "opened" in front of the country.

[Explanation] It is understood that the Wuliji Port was built in 2016 and is still in the development and construction period. The barracks have not been completed yet, but due to the large number of foreign construction personnel, the existence of the police station is essential.

40-year-old Yu Fengdong is an veteran policeman who has guarded the border for 20 years. As the first police station chief here, he moved into this simple container in early 2017.

At the beginning of 2017, we came here.

Except for the blue containers, there is the vast Gobi Desert, with no water, electricity, roads, and signals.

[Explanation] Nowadays, besides Yu Fengdong, there are 9 policemen from Shandong, Ningxia and other provinces living and working together in these blue containers.

They defeated the days when there was no water, no electricity, no internet, but they were most afraid of nightfall.

I can't accompany my family, looking at the photos of my family in the phone in the middle of the night, my thoughts flooded my mind.

[In the same period] Lang Xiankai, a police officer at the border police station at Wuliji Port

Many of our police officers are from other places, and they are often unable to reunite with their homes. This is also a relatively regrettable thing.

But we came together, got together, and formed a new family. In our work and life, we encourage and help each other to do a good job of border management. This is a kind of comfort for us.

[Explanation] In the local area, the relationship between the police and the people is like family.

In addition to resolving all kinds of disputes and popularizing legal knowledge for them, the police also acted as a "courier" for the purchase of daily necessities and a "timely rain" in the snow.

The daughter of a local border guard was admitted as a graduate student in Mongolia. During the epidemic, she needed to take online classes, but the home network was not “powerful”. The border police found out and immediately dispatched to help her solve the problem.

[Contemporary] Su Riguge, the daughter of Shubianhu

After learning about this situation, the border police station installed a signal amplifier in our home as quickly as possible.

Because of their help, I took my online class smoothly and did not delay my course. We are not always (together), they also (make us) feel always by our side, our relationship is like family .

[Explanation] Near the Uliji port is a desolate desert Gobi. In summer, the outdoor temperature is as high as 40°C. The iron-clad container is heated by the sun, and the interior is like a steamer.

In winter, the cold air blowing from Mongolia often causes the temperature to reach -30°C.

At the turn of spring and summer, when the weather at the Uliji Port was the worst, the strong wind engulfed dust, roaring day and night, and creaking small containers.

Despite this, the border police are here to stay here without complaint and to serve the people.

As a new generation of immigration police, we should come from the masses and must go among the masses.

Only by integrating with the masses of the people can the masses of people trust us, can speak to us, and our border management can do better.
