Three years ago, a police officer was killed at a police station in Toyama City, and a guard was shot dead with a gun that was taken. He filed a lawsuit seeking compensation from Toyama Prefecture, claiming that he did not.

The bereaved family said, "I want to clarify what was happening at that time through a trial."

In June 2018, a police officer was killed at a police station in Toyama City, and a security guard near the school gate of a nearby elementary school was shot dead with a gun that was taken. Keidai Shimazu, a 24-year-old official, was sentenced to life imprisonment in the first instance.

Toyama Prefecture claimed that the wife of the murdered security guard, Shinichi Nakamura (68 at the time), would not have been killed if the police had properly called attention to the incident. On the 11th, he filed a lawsuit against Shimazu in the Toyama District Court seeking compensation of about 26 million yen.

According to the complaint, the police did not instruct the police officers heading to the scene to call attention to the residents in the vicinity, even though the defendant who attacked the police box might be nearby with a weapon. The police officer who arrived also said he had not made a call.

It seems that it took about 20 minutes from the first report until Mr. Nakamura was shot dead, and if caution was called, he claimed that he was not killed.

The wife at the press conference said, "I was wondering what was going on before the incident occurred and my husband was killed. It was revealed through the trial why my husband had to be killed. I want to do it. "

The Toyama Prefectural Police Headquarters said, "I would like to express my deepest condolences to the bereaved families of the guards and police officers who died in the incident. I have not confirmed the content of the complaint, so I will refrain from commenting."
