On June 10, a flooding accident occurred in the No. 4 shaft of Dahongcai Iron Mine, Nieying Town, Dai County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, and 13 people were trapped.

After the accident, the provinces, cities, and counties immediately initiated emergency rescue responses to non-coal mine production safety accidents and carried out rescues.

  Dahongcai Iron Mine, located in Nieying Town, Dai County, is a private mining enterprise. The water penetration accident occurred in the No. 4 shaft of the mine. At the time of the accident, there were 16 miners on duty, 3 lifted the shaft, and 13 were trapped.

As of 5 o'clock on the 11th, the emergency management department and provinces, cities, and counties urgently mobilized the national mine emergency rescue team, Datong, Fenxi, Dadi, Taigang and other local professional rescue teams and Shanxi Armed Police rescue teams totaling 1084 people. 69 water pumps (sets), 18,000 meters of high-pressure drainage pipes, life detectors, kayaks, diving equipment and other equipment participated in the rescue.

  After construction, a total of more than 4,000 meters of water pipes and 1,500 meters of cables were erected.

Three water pumps were transported to the well and installed in place, and a video communication system from the well to the surface was erected.

At 8 o'clock on the 11th, the drainage facilities were connected and the water level began to drop.

  According to the person in charge of the scene, on the 11th, we will continue to increase drainage materials and take effective preventive measures to prevent secondary disasters. At the same time, we will further enrich the search and rescue force and deploy underwater robots and frogmen to participate in reconnaissance and search and rescue.

  In addition, Shanxi Province issued an urgent notice requiring all non-coal underground mines to suspend production and carry out a major inspection of production safety.

It is reported that the public security department has controlled the actual iron ore controller Chen, the corporate legal person Wang, the general manager Guo, and the safety production mine director Shen.

  The cause of the flood accident is under investigation.
