With the vaccination of elderly people with the new coronavirus, Mito City has added staff such as nursery schools and kindergartens in the city to the waiting list in order to prevent the vaccine from being wasted and reduce the risk of infection of children. In case of sudden cancellation, we are proceeding with inoculation.

Mito City has registered more than 4,000 employees working in nursery schools, kindergartens, and elementary and junior high schools in the city on the list of people who receive vaccinations in case of sudden cancellation due to vaccination of the elderly.

In the city, outbreaks have occurred in multiple nursery schools and kindergartens so far, so we are trying to reduce the risk of infection for children by promoting inoculation of staff.

Of these, it is said that the nursery school in Kawawada, Mito City has been taking measures to prevent infection of children for over a year.

I have instructed children to face the same direction when eating, but it is difficult for younger children to wear masks, and it is said that there were situations where it was unavoidable to be dense because it was necessary to have a mask. I will.

On the other hand, the staff measured the temperature twice a day and kept a record along with the places visited outside the nursery school.

Tomoko Uchiki, a nursery teacher, has never been out of the prefecture since the spread of the infection began, and even on holidays, she rarely goes out except for shopping for daily necessities.

Mr. Uchiki said, "Because it is a job to protect the safety and security of children, it should not be the case that the staff transfers it to the children. I am very careful."

On the 10th, the nursery school was informed by the health center that two vaccination sites in the city had been canceled for two people.

The staff got out of work and went to the medical institution where the cancellation was made and received the vaccine.

Mr. Uchiki, who received the vaccination, said, "I had to be careful about my lifestyle, and sometimes I felt painful, but I was a little relieved."

According to the Mito City Health Center, about 150 employees have been vaccinated by this initiative by the 10th.

Natsuko Ebihara, director of Mito City Kawawada Nursery School, said, "While the teachers have a family, they are living with patience in various ways. To protect the children, inoculation is done with a cancellation frame like this time. I am very grateful to receive it. "
