Surrounding maneuvers, accreditation of journalists… The Council of State on Thursday canceled several key provisions of the national law enforcement plan.
Published on September 16, 2020 by the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin, this document defines the framework for the exercise of law enforcement, applicable to all demonstrations for all law enforcement agencies.
But seized by several associations and unions, the highest court of the administrative order canceled four points of the document including the use of the technique of "the net", and the obligation for journalists to leave the premises during the dispersal of demonstrations.
The other points also concern accreditation and equipment for journalists.
