The selection is growing.

An animated film on Anne Frank, the biopic dedicated to the rap group NTM and the last film by Gaspar Noé were added this Thursday to the Official Selection of the 74th Cannes Film Festival, its organizers announced in a press release.

Nine new films have been added, including

, presented out of competition, by the Israeli Ari Folman, who electrified the Croisette in 2008 with another animated film,

Waltz with Bachir

, left empty-handed.

In midnight screenings, night owls will be able to discover two French films: the new opus by the Larrieu brothers, with their favorite actor Mathieu Amalric, as well as the biopic dedicated to the rap group NTM,

In the new Cannes Premieres section, intended for experienced directors, Gaspar Noé will present

Vortex

, with the cast of the Italian master of horror Dario Argento, who inspired him a lot.

The Cannes Film Festival has yet to announce the film chosen to open Un Certain Regard and the one that will be screened at the “last screening” after the awards on July 17.

The composition of the jury, chaired by the American Spike Lee, as well as the poster for this 74th edition have not yet been revealed.
