At the beginning of the 20th century, Paul Claudel wrote an epic fresco which tells, over 20 years and on 5 continents, the love story prevented between Doña Prouhèze and Don Rodrigue.


A monster 11 hour play that will only have three full productions.

Today for its reopening, the Paris Opera has placed an order with the composer

Marc-André Dalbavie

for a shorter operatic version of 6 hours.

From words to music, the story of a translation into music.
