Good morning. This is Kim Soo-hyun, a reporter in charge of SBS performances.

Friday, June 11, 2021. This is the 86th and last post on "For those who are tired of 'Bangkok'" introducing online performances. My last post was on May 7th, so I'm greeting you after about a month. Actually, I suffered from sudden right wrist and finger pain. After hearing the doctor's advice that I should give my hands a rest, I minimized my computer use for a while, and now I feel much better.

I've been continuing this series for over a year, which started in March of last year, and I was originally thinking of quitting after filling up to 100 episodes. But as I couldn't use it due to an unexpected circumstance, I realized that there was no need to dwell on numbers. There aren't many people in 'Bangkok' because of the corona virus these days, and although the seat system to keep distance is still there, most offline performances are being held. I'm writing this 'final episode' now because I'm folding a long-running series that has been running for more than a year, and I think there must be a period.^^

Online performances that started pouring in from the early days of Corona. I feel like I'm getting a little organized after going through trial and error. In the early days of online performances, there were rosy prospects, but there were only a few cases where people made money from online performances alone, with a strong fandom. Since online performances are 'video content' after all, it has become clear that an understanding of video is essential, and that a device that compensates for the lack of sense of presence and interaction between the stage and the audience is also clear.

However, even if COVID-19 is over, online performances will continue.

Online broadcasting is effective in terms of publicity and cultural welfare, and some performances that are popular with the public are being paid online for viewing.

Online performances have obvious advantages in that they can overcome space and time constraints, can be viewed in close-up, and are economical compared to offline performances.

So, let's start this week's show.
