In the Central African Republic, the Barthélémy Boganda National Museum reopens its doors to the public after seven years of closure.

Looted and sacked in 2013 during the seizure of power by the Seleka rebels, the last museum in the Central African Republic has been abandoned for many years.

But its collections have been carefully preserved in boxes, and it is with great pride that its director Abel Koïton gives us a tour of this institution which is rising from its ashes and welcomes visitors again until June 22.
